I had a baby in November of '07. Although my body did not change much from the pregnancy, the tone of my body has diminished. I am also a little weaker than I was pre-pregnancy. Not only am I working to loose a few pounds and tone what I got, I am also training for the police academy qualification test for the Lexington Division of Police.
Why I Love It:
Working out makes me feel better as a person. I have always had poor health and working out has improved my health.
How I Stay Motivated:
My children and my husband! By showing my children how dedicated I am at going to the gym or staying active in general, I know I am doing my role as a parent. My husband keeps me motivated and focused by encouragement and a little tough love when my motivation is deteriorating.
BB Accomplishments:
I think my major bodybuilding accomplishment would be one of two things. One I can bench press over 64% of my bodyweight and another would be keeping that motivation to go the gym about 3-4 times a week even when I feel too tired.

Goal (Long):
I know lean muscle is defiantly a long term goal. Getting lean muscle does not happen over night! Especially in my case with my abdominals. I had a c-section with both pregnancies. I just hope that my abs have great muscle memory! I hate cardio! But I need to be good at it and fast for my PT test. I want to get over this cardio obstacle of mine and find exciting ways to do it without getting bored or getting discouraged. I want to achieve my cardio goals by June or July. I also want to be able to improve my upper body strength. All my goals I want to achieve by summer.
I haven't been to the gym since the end of September. It has been very hard for me to find time in my schedule to make it there. We have taken our oldest son out of daycare because of rising costs so now I have two kids home with me while Michael is working. The past few weeks I have been...
I have my workouts on a 3 day rotation but here lately I have spread my workouts to include cardio on the odd days meaning I go to the gym 4-5 times a week. I do not have a workout partner :( so I have to do a lot of my exercises on machines.

What departments do you want to test with? I have always had Portland PD as my #1, but I tested with any I could in the area for practice and well....you never know! Have you looked at City, State, County departments? Most departments test every 6 mos.
