Oooooooo I am just all fired up. FRIDAY AFTERNOON RANT! I subscribe to updates from a burlesque performer here in Calgary who posted about declining a gig because the company stipulated that the members of her burlesque troupe had to be 120lbs or less. Burlesque is about celebrating the female form in all it's glory. Not celebrating females in the cookie-cutter form that some people in society deem necessary. So I always knew I used to be really big.  I would watch Biggest Loser and see the girls that weighed 265+ lbs and I'd think "yep, I used to be that big", but I didn't have any photos of me to compare to. As someone that once saw 265lbs on the scale (I know it went up from there, but I stopped looking at it after that), seeing a tummy that is getting actual flat spots is unbelievably thrilling for me, and that's where I'm at today.  I weighed 193 this morning, which is 3 lbs up from my lowest weight a couple months ago, but I think I've actually put on some muscle, because there are parts of me that are definitely a lot leaner than they were a few months ago, even. johndeere60 I read some of your blogs:)..I laughed,I cried,I smiled...all really good...I actually enjoy some of the good natured interaction in a couple of the spin classes I go to...kind of a team type ,if that makes sense...I lift at home,but only because I have a better set-up,andenjoy working out in my jeans with no shirt...lol...is this too much info...Train Hard,you have done well losing 50 lbs,and I agree,every lb lost,every rep performed,every mile ran,needs to be seen as progress...Tracey Jan 27, 2012 2:35pm
