Background

When I Started: Jan 2001
HOW I STARTED:

Putting on to much weight and constantly outgrowing my pants is what initially got me started. (my butt got big) I didn't realize how much weight I put on until i saw some vacation pics. It all started there.

WHY I LOVE IT:

The sport has given me pride, confidence and a lot less bodyfat. never in my wildest dreams did i ever, ever think i'd be working out, competing and personal training. i didn't know it when i started, but this whole process was a dream come true.

Switched to Crossfit

Pretty much this blog will mimic a blog post from about 1 year ago in which I said I was happy with my contest prep.  Ditto.  Only difference from last year is the majority of my training for this weekend's show was crossfit.


 All the pullups and oly lifting made a big difference overall.  Not to mention I can do pullups like nobody's business :)  Now I"m addicted to snatching and cleans.  Very cool lifts but even after a year I'm still learning them.  Lot more complicated than I ever thought.  But still very cool.

Two weeks out and I'm really happy with how my contest prep has gone.  Apparently for some, it's just to much.  Yesterday at the gym, a loud mouth from Philly  just couldn't resist talking very loudly on his cell phone about taking 'roids and getting all muscled up!  What a jackass! I know my present condition, as with most competitors, draws some looks.  Especially after a kick-ass back workout.  On one hand, those comments confirm that I'm where I need to be.  But on the other,  I'd really wanted&...

Newest Goal - Crazy or what?

Alright,  got bored, needed a new goal.  For forever, I've always wanted to be able to do  a split and a straddle.  I'd put in my stretching time post workout everyday.  Within a month or so I'd get bored and start slacking.  After about 5-6 times of starting and stopping I've decided to get serious.  A friend of mine,  with a gymnast background,  has taken me on in my goal of accomplishing these two things. She had me do some stretching exercises prior to our initial start date.Â&...

wontquit I'm just a little slow when it comes to how these websites work. I've been sending you letters just to compare thoughts. MY BAD!!! My supplements showed up last week and I've only been using them on workout days, (right)? Ordered some adjustable dumb bells and they are in so now I can focus more on center chest and flies.
