when my ex-boyfriend and i split up, i reached 170 lbs. once summer came around i was down to business. i've been trying to drop 50 lbs since.
Why I Love It:
that feeling you get when you know you're doing something good for yourself and when i look in the mirror, i know i worked hard for this body. i found love for myself.
How I Stay Motivated:
BB Accomplishments:
losing 27 pounds so far, finishing 3 5k's all under 30 minutes, and running for hour straight
My goal is drop another 25 pounds, to get my body fat % under 20 by 2010 and to look great in nothing.
Goal (Long):
I have already lost 30 pounds, another 20 to go.. I'm back to fitting into all of my old clothes from high school but I'm not satisfied yet. I want to have 20% bodyfat, fit into a size 4, and be able to run a half marathon in under 1hr 30 minutes by the time I graduate college in 2011. I currently run 5-6 miles a day and want to up to that 8 miles a day in under an hour.
I have an extremely busy life with school but once this summer hits, dropping weight is my only focus!
My first goal is to fit into a size 6 (about 130 lbs) by August 20th when classes begin again. September 13th, I have the Chicago Half Marathon that I want to finish in under 2 hours.
My second goal is to fit into a size 4 (about 120 lbs) which I want to fit into by Halloween. In October, I am also running the Des Moines Half Marathon.
My final goal is get my body fat under 20%, for my abs to show, and to rock an awesome bikini on Waikiki beach after running the Honolulu marathon in December.
Why? What are the pros and cons of working out there?
I usually run outside. I lift at a gym in a private studio with free weights, balance balls, and resistance bands. Sometime's the weather outside can really suck. Too windy, too hot, too cold. Usually always working out indoors, it's just way too hot.I usually run outside. I lift at a gym in a private studio with free weights, balance balls, and resistance bands. What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
depends on the person, sometimes i think it's all for show and attention. other people i believe are genuinely trying that hard.
I ran the Bix 7 mile race last week. It went alright. Im freaking slow now.. Stupid pneumonia a few weeks ago just killed me. My lungs and my endurance suffered a ton.
I ran 8 miles yesterday. 11:30 min/mile pace.. really really slow.. but i'm out there and im running. I didn't get a chance...

Well I'm glad you aren't giving up!!! You can do it girl.. I would stay off the scales for a while... I weight myself about once a month! Obsessing about the numbers will only stress you out! Go by what you see in the mirror:)
