When I Started:
Sep, 1999
How I Started:
When I think about it I started working out when I was 12 years old. I was a heavy child. Ok that is putting it lightly. I was a fat child and growing up when you are fat is not easy. I started running. I lived in the country and it started out as running a telephone pole length and walking a telephone pole length until i could run the whole way. I started swimming and in grade 12 i asked for a set of weights for christmas. The pounds fluctuated over the years. I joined a gym when I was about 19 years old. I was tired of looking and feeling the way i did. Working out became an addiction.
Why I Love It:
I like how my muscles feel after a good workout. I stand straighter and I love the soreness. It's the constant reminder that yes I have done something with myself
How I Stay Motivated:
Well this is hard for me. I must say that motivation and discipline are the reasons my weight has fluctuated so much. I put a picture of dana torres on my fridge. I used to swim and it is a constant reminder that if i am in the fridge i am not going to look like that. Also my subscription to oxygen magazine is amazing motivation
The over all goal is to weigh 140. So that is 30lbs and I want to get the muscle definition. ABS oh goodness I want ABS and a solid bum
Goal (Long):
Well honesty is the best policy. I need to lose 33lbs. I need to get into the best shape of my life if I want to make this serious career move
The everyday goals are to eat every 3 hours
Drink lots of water
Balance my meals
Not to eat any carbs after 4pm
8 hours of sleep a night
Pre cook all my meals so the temptation to eat out is no longer there
Cardio and weight train 5 days a week.
Weight train for 30-40 min and then HIIT for 20-30 min.
NO EXCUSES. People who are in shape dont make excuses they get the job done.
I have been so well with staying consistant in the gym. It has been four weeks now. no prolonged absences. I am struggling with diet though. I know the things I should stay away from but it has been a struggle this week. I am trying to limit or exclude processed foods and limiting...
My pleasure on the comment, and thanks in return! It's always nice to see "mail" so to speak! By the way, also look at the sauces/butter/toppings you are putting on foods. Those can add hundreds of calories very quickly.
i begged for sat off, had a blast with my son and his buddy, and only worked 4 hrs today ( sunday)
did 6 runs with my brutal-eyzer .
hope yuo have a great week ! study hard ! peaceeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Sounds like you had a really awesome workout from yesterday. Keep up the intensity but keep it fun. Also, watch the video with Ava Cowan in it on my BodySpace. She gave me some great tips on eating. Ever since I started eating the way she prescribed in her video. I've been cutting fat with great success.
