Beginning: Dad was a fitness buff. As kids, he would take me and my brothers to the gym in the wee hours of the morning--5am every Friday, Saturday. Keep in mind, I was a nerdy, chubby 12 yr. old who loved Hot Cheetos lol.
__________________________________
Middle: Kept with the gym on/off in the teen years, nothing major and was still a nerd that had late night cravings for anything. Like for most guys(well maybe just me) HS was a competition for who was the strongest and best looking(funny how 9yrs later its still like that lol). My late nite hobby would definitely not be of any help. Self esteem, self image, yada yada yada, was really important. Hated being the 'chubby one'.
__________________________________
Semi present: Really didnt want to be the chubby one anymore(love handles get no love). Grew up. Really read alot on nutrition. Magazines, articles, books. Confusion set in. Wanted to see my body 'transform' and had the bits and pieces to start but not really sure how to do it right. Hit and miss, hit and miss. Damn me. Persistence and stubbornness. I wanted to do this on my own.

Almost Present: A year ago, really slimmed out because of all the things I was trying(running, dieting,'fasting', juice diet, etc.)There really was no diet I wouldn't try if it promised results. This probably put my metabolism out of whack fo sho and had lost the little muscle I had because of this. Didn't like that at all so I got a gym membership. I guess I had a revelation because I found this site and it snowballed from there.

Present: Not the chubby one anymore, I think lol. Got my ish together and been doing it right. Got the late nite binges under control, even though chocolate frozen yogurt and brownies call out my name once in awhile. Even studying for my ISSA cert. to be a PT. Persistency and obsession with perfection made me go a little crazy but it was worth it.
Why I Love It:
It changes the mind and body. I've learned more about myself while doing this and lifes overall health and fitness. Really try to help others. I love doing anything that improves me as an overall human being.
How I Stay Motivated:
Knowing that people are always watching me and ask for advice. They want to see something real, plus I'm just never gonna be satisfied.
BB Accomplishments:
Consistency.

Do work son!
showmemusclechanged Overall Goal: "Mass and leanness is the name of the game. Life has been throwing me some curve balls lately--gotta keep my on it.."
This is my first bodyspace pic. I can't remember how much I weighed in this pic, but I'm sure it was between 195-198 in my first month of bulking(Dec).
I got a bf testing on Sat. and he said 191Lbs @ 9%!!
I really want to take full advantage of all the bodybuilding life has to offer. Help others and keep learning...and growing! Goal is to get stronger, smarter, and leaner.
Where to start...A real down to earth person. She says what she means, and means what she says. Plus, with hard work she went from hefty to hottie. On top of all that, after a long day of hard labor, this girl hits the gym and cranks it out some more--THATS INSPIRING! Keep rockin' it warrior princess ;)!
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
They really think I'm extreme(in a good way), but they've made alot of changes in the way they eat because of what I do. Change is contagious.

Other than the obvious benefits (appearance, health, etc.), how has bodybuilding and fitness improved your overall life?
Self esteem and challenging myself into doing something that takes dedication and hard work. And knowing if you want something bad enough, you can get it.
Alright. I need some input from all you great people out there. So currently my protein staple is either organic chicken, turkey, or wild caught fish--expensive but worth it. No beef, no pork, no shrimp, nada. If you do some research, you can find out why pork is not a good 'white'...
the wkends over here as its diff from western wkends. only hav fri off, been outa trainin coz been travellin so hopefully do a quik run on treadmill lter! cant b a fatty spartan..lol get ur facebook sorted! ha! wots ur plans 4 wkend? more raw foods..hehehe
you got excused cuz you were too biased? hmmm... good to know that ms. opinion-for-everything, will very likely NEVER have to serve on a jury.. PHEW!!! plus.. i can't keep a secret to save my life! :D
I think they just want one picture if I'm not mistaken. No, I haven't sent it in yet. I am carb depleting and am going to carb load Thursday night through Friday. My wife is going to take my shots this Saturday and I will probably send them in on Monday. I have my essay written though.
hey hun! for some reason i didnt see ur reply on here ages ago! so back to that - thanks for the compliment! il tel u all how i shedded half the weight as long as u exchange ur secrets too! lol hope ur well babe!
Hmm only 2 weeks? That's a tough one man. Anything in that short of tiem I would consider a crash diet=not good for maintaining muscle. I'd just say eat as clean as possible on a slight cal deficit, do cardio post training and hope for the best!
lol..thanks for the warning about the pizza and calzones - but you're too late.. hahaha ;) I'm trying to drop BF now doing lots of cardio, but it sux..lol
i have a beagle (who's good for about 2 blocks)and a lab/german shephard mix (who's good off leash, but then the beagle gets jealous and tears up the house). but some days, i run the beagle for my warm up, then get the lab for the rest of it :) ps.. me + Mace = disaster
doin good, increddibly stressed with school but the past week or two i've felt i have a better hold of my diet, i bought a book on metabolic typing i find interesting, how are youuu
Sure I've got a sec (now that I am back from my little Kauai vacation!). And don't lie play on playa....I see the luv kid gets on his profile too! ;) Hope all is well shockmasterflash! haha
GONNA be ninja?! ;) i actually love to run in the city cuz my comfort zone is paved roads (almost been hit and mugged on these country roads. thank goodness for my dog at the time!) but i'd love to get back on the trails again! it's much more peaceful (when the anxiety isn't peaking..haha)
