How I Started:
My dad tried to whip me into shape, and eventually built a strong affinity to the bench press. With that i impressed some coaches at my HS and joined both football and track where i learned the ways of the squat, dead, and clean in addition to the upper body.
Why I Love It:
It gives me a sense of not being a lazy slob :P

oh yeah... haha. Life is bueno, moving back up to Colorado tomorrow so I'll be getting lean in no time! I just came from your neck of the woods and caught a nasty cold! Too cold out there, it shouldn't be (pouring)raining this time of the year. A week of vacation didn't do my body good, and having my bday didn't help either. BUT those pics! umm... let's trade professions! I don't have the diligence to stuff my nose in books and retain all that info. I've taken a pharmacology class and loved it. You must have a GOOOD memory! Today I did snatches til I couldn't breathe. How was your workout?
weight and hammer are hard! I was 5th in the nation overall. Division 2 leading (but choked at nationals). I am going to be a health/PE teacher, but definetely doing grad school to get away from teaching. I hate it. What do you plan on doing w/a biology background? soo smart :)

Discus was my best 55m (180ft) Shot put 13ish meters (45ft). Weight was 56ftish, hammer pathetic 150's.
The Major is called Human Performance and Physical Education (Exercise Science).
Same situation, eligibility is up. I was training to continue throwing discus but the head strength coach for the Univerisity NEAR MOM overtrained me so I put it aside for now. Your photos are VERY encouraging, great progress! Was shot your best event?
