When I Started: Feb, 2007
How I Started: I have been lifting on and off for several years but recently got serious about it. I had put on too much weight over the past few years so it is time for a change.
Why I Love It: I have always loved training in Martial Arts and weight lifting but due to personal issues I let my self go.
How I Stay Motivated: My motivation is to look better and get in awesome shape to start competing again.

Yeah I was hooked on it after practicing for 6 hours. I am going to a remote for a while to do my job, hopely I wont get mortared to death.

I received a crash course at Combat Skills training provided by the Army which was all the basics and a few advanced moves all in 2 days. It was all the junior enlisted tossing each other on the mats, which was pretty fun. I was amazed that at the time i was weighing 140lbs I could toss a 240lb guy and put him in the guard or mount without any problem. I just wish to learn a little more then what I received.
