When I Started:
Jan, 2002
How I Started:
I got into sports in high school, starting lifting to increase my strength in wrestling and track, and have not looked back since. I love to work out, if I don't do some type of lifting every day I feel horrible. Lifting weights and working out is one of the best improvements to my life that I have ever made.
Why I Love It:
The pump, the feeling of accomplishment after a tough workout, thinking of new ways to punish a muscle group, the look, respect from others-especially women. There's just something about lifting weights, so basic, so primal. I don't know what I would do if I could not lift weights anymore. There is really nothing like it.
I'm kind of a dork: I'm the kind of guy that gets excited over a new Muscle and Fitness, or deciding/creating a new workout routine...I mean I get pretty psyched just thinking about Leg Day
How I Stay Motivated:
Magazines help alot, I love to read Muscle and Fitness, FLEX, Men's Fitness and Men's Health...various articles and photos help me persevere. Seeing progress, in lifts and in the mirror. Getting compliments from other friends/lifters/girls. When people say "that's not normal, that's sick, etc" that's what keeps me going.
BB Accomplishments:
Nothing yet, maybe in two years or so I will enter a contest, my accomplishments now are just new PR's on lifts and increased aestheticism
Ideally, I would like to be 200-215lbs. with 10% bf or less. Of course I would like to see strength and size increases to go along with the weight gain. Repping 365lbs. on the squat, 275lbs. on the bench, 405lbs. on the deadlift, 225lbs. on the military press and 145lbs. on the barbell bicep curl are all things I would like to do in the next 10-15 months.

Why I like this video: I love watching this video before lifting' nothing can get me more pumped to work out than watching the greatest bodybuilder ever.
The best of Kevin Levrone

Why I like this video: One of my favorite bodybuilders: just a sick chest/shoulders/arms tie-in. Truly one of the un-crowned Mr. Olympias.
This was my Leg (Quad) workout for today:
Leg Extensions: 3sets x 30-50 (warm-up)
Smith Squats: 135 x 15, 225 x 8, 275 x 5, Working: 335 x 10, 345 x 5, 345 x 3, 345 x 3
Leg Press: 540 x 15, 630 x 10, 680 x 6, 680 x 6 w/5 drops

Hi Ed, see you are from Chi town too, that's neat! Thank you so much for adding me and for the kind compliment - but you do not have to wear a bikini to see that you are no stranger to the gym, haha. Best wishes to you for continued success with your goals.
