I worked part time as an aerobics instructor in college teaching various classes. I started lifting a little and loved what it did for my body. Each year, I got more and more into it and here I am!
Why I Love It:
I love the way it makes me feel and look. I'm very much a girly girl, but in the gym, I feel like someone else. The way I feel pushing out one last hard rep is unexplainable. The gym is my escape from reality.
How I Stay Motivated:
I know that I am doing something positive for my body. After a hard work out I feel empowered, like I can take on the world. I stay motivated knowing that I'm doing things other women can't....and won't. I just can't get enough.
BB Accomplishments:
My first figure competiton April 12, 2008 I placed 2nd in Novice and 2nd in Open B, 2nd figure competiton May 17, 2008 first place figure short class and overall figure winner

It was character that got us out of bed, commitment that moved us into action, and discipline that enabled us to follow through.?
"Your training partner's name is pain. You start out trying to ignore him. Can't do it. You attempt to reason with him. No way. You try to strike a bargain. Hah. You plead. You say "Please stop, please go away. I promise never ever to do this again if you just leave me alone." But he won't. Pain only climbs off if you do. Then you're beaten. "

Decent workouts and decent diet this week, could be better though and will be better. Leg day this morning was pretty good, I'm waiting for my legs to start getting tight. I leg pressed the heaviest I've done in a year, so I felt great. Taking the day off work to chill with my husband and...
Hey Michelle, you looked AWESOME at the Natural Ohio. You had a very tough class. We would love to have you at the Buckeye Classic in Columbus on 4/25!
So how did you do? I took 3rd out of 9 in the open and 3rd out of 5 in the Masters. I gave up 30 pounds to those guys, but held my own. ;) It was a really great time for me. How about you?
When you get into town ask the front desk at the hotel if they have a Scene magazine. All the local clubs with live music are listed in there. I haven't been out in about 10 years so half the places I use to go to aren't around any more.
Totally depends on how I do if I do another show this year. We'll see. This show use to take untill midnight to 1 am to end. BUT they seem to have things a bit better organized over the past couple of years. There are as many competitors in this show as the NKY usually.
You are totally correct, time to move forward. So far the adjustments I have made are working really well for me. I will be in the Masters lightweight and the Open Bantamweight classes. How are you feeling thses days?I'm looking forward to getting some wings after the show at Winking Lizard. A few of us are going there after the show if your interested. Best of luck to you!!!!
Yes! I did horrible at the NKY show. I am pretty embarrassed about it to tell the truth. I'm hoping my adjustments that I made the past couple weeks will be enough to do better in the Ohio show. 8 Days to go so LET'S GIVE 'EM ALL WE GOT!!!!! :)
Same old here. I'm dieting now to put on some size. Workouts are going great - i'm able to squat again so I'm very happy about that. Hope you have a great turkey day! Just no candied sweet potatos for you!
