When I Started:

How I Started:
The original reason was probably the stupidest, I wanted to get more attention from boys or whatever, but at least I started somewhere. After being a cardiobunny for a couple years and realizing it wasn't getting me where I wanted to be, I've now turned my attention to lifting and building my strength.
Why I Love It:
I love how I feel after a good workout; I get through my classes and day lot easier and it's pretty much solved my mild problems with insomnia. All in all, I just feel better every time I leave the gym, no exceptions.
How I Stay Motivated:
Staying motivated is slightly difficult for me; I was diagnosed with PCOS at a younger age and though I've adjusted my diet accordingly, on my doctors advice, the high insulin levels still make it very difficult to lose weight at a pace that is considered "normal" for everyone else.
As a violinist and a music major, though, I'm always on stage. While skills as a musician and getting the notes right and being musical are the most important thing, looking good for the people judging or watching you is a damn close second.
I want to be beautiful in every aspect of my life: physically, spiritually, and emotionally. I want to look in the mirror and know that what I see reflects every aspect of myself. I want people to see someone who is as physically beautiful as she is on the inside. It sounds lame and cheesy, I know, but you know as well as I do that people see what's outside first. It's a fact; and when someone looks at me, I want them to see the inside when they look at the outside.
The most important motivation, though, is looking good for myself; the better I look, the more I can focus on my life instead of of "oh god, what do all of these people think of me?". Without worrying about people judging me, I can focus on how to make myself a better person without the distraction.
I just want to look better, I guess. I'm not really sure what numbers I'm going to need to get there at the moment, but I'm sure as I progress I'll figure that all out.
I do know that I want a smaller waist, in the long term I would like to eventually get that down to 26 inches, maybe lower/higher depending on what I see as I go, but for now I'm working on just slowly getting it down and making goals for about 2-3 inches at a time.

Woke up this morning 20 minutes before class and realized that I've really been slacking on my groceries, so breakfast wasn't quite what it usually is. But after I got my shopping done, it pretty much returned to normal.
Meal 1: Mint-chocolate whey and skim milk; this was only because I...
