Cordova High Attended 2000 to 2004 Rancho Cordova, California United States
When I Started:
May, 2009
How I Started:
I started gaining weight while i was in school. I had school in the evenings, so it threw my whole eating schedule off! i'd get out of school at 10pm and be SO hungy, and what are the only places open that late? McDonalds and In-N-Out(itsa Cali thing!) So i would get full combo meals at like 10:30pm and then pass out right after! yeah i know! pretty gross!
i also gained the weight since being hired at SBux! damn pastries and frapp's!
i gained a total of 20lbs...jeez
This past February09 I enlisted in the Air Force Reserves. That alone motivated me to get into shape and lose weight! (also, my summer clothes from last year barely went over my thighs!! yikes!) So after i graduated, i started working out on a consistent basis and changing my eating habits, and now its not even about getting fit for the AF BMT, but I want to transform my whole body to better myself! =)
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel really good! and also the end result makes you look amazing!
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated because the TI's say so! Lol
BB Accomplishments:
Lol, I have no interest in becoming a bodybuilder!
seoulfood12 changed Overall Goal: "To really focus and succeed in AF BMT! and to work hard during PT to really transform my body!." - 11:44 pm - Comment
To really focus and succeed in AF BMT! and to work hard during PT to really transform my body!
Goal (Long):
i wanto lose the grotesque fat that i've gained from eating fast food late at night, and with all the pastries and frappuccinos from Starbucks!
Also, since being enlisted in the USAF Reserves i wanto get ready for BMT by achieving "Warhawk" PT standards
I am no longer attracted and wanting to be just "skinny" it turns me off, its gross, yeah, anyone can be skinny, but theres no definition, curves, no muscle..you're justa stick. and the girls with the flat stomachs, its not impressive anymore, try getting intense ABS! THATS impressive!
So my overal long term goal is to lose weight and get lean and strong! achieve cut abs and a little cut on my tri's! yess!! LETS GO!!
this member inspires me because he is a really nice guy, and he makes me laugh and smile. he is always on Twitter like me, so he's very quick to answer/comment on any fitness/nutrition questions that i may have, he's also very down to earth..plus he has a hot body!
So today is the BIG day that I've been waiting for since Feruary! Going to basic training for the Air Force! (I'm a reservist though) Im currently sitting at the gate at the airport right now just waiting for my flight to take off at 0915.
i'm just excited for you ... i know it's a big day, and i remember my big days (BMT and OTS) just like they were yesterday. I look forward to welcoming you to the AF family. If you get this before they bus you to Lackland, just know everyone is rooting for you (even me:). Can't wait to hear from you afterwards ... we're gonna have SOOOO much to talk about :) lol now, go tear'em up!! :)
glad i could help. can't wait to hear from you after you're the AF's newest American Airman .. Wingman ... Warrior!!!! hoorah and knock em dead. i'll be waiting to hear from you!
wooohooo!!
you're gonna do GREAT!! relax and have fun with it!! hey, do me a favor and stay in touch, ok?! i wanna hear from you when you're done. i'd even write to you if i knew your mailing addy, lol. go get 'em tiger!!
don't worry ... you're gonna do GREAT! keep a positive attitude and remember, when the TI's are gettin on you about something, it's not personal ... just fix it and move on! good luck and i sincerely hope to hear from you once you graduate. stay in touch, ok!!
they've changed that credit card process since i went ... but i'd suggest taking at least some small amounts (airline approved amounts ... 3 ounces, i think) along with you to get your started. i'm sure you'll get a chance to do SOME necessity shopping within a few days, but you don't want to have to be bummin soap and shampoo the moment you get there :)
i'm sure you're excited ... this is an awesome day ... the day you began serving the world's most powerful Air Force!!
i took myself to seriously at BMT(which i warned u against, lol but i did have a good time and made great because you're at team you'll make friends quickly. bring your cell; they'll make u turn it off and lock it up but at least you'll have it with u when u graduate and are allowed to use it again! food was really good, but not alot of time to eat it, lol. DRINK your water though; 3 glasses per meal, at least; you're gonna sweat like crazy (even this late in the year) so say hydrated!
Hey, thanks for the compliment, good to hear about your training and the new suppplement...liking the positive attitude too..I honestly liked San Antonio the weather was nice and just different then here .. hope you have a good weekend before u leave for basic and good luck
I didn't find PT hard while i was there. When I've gone to any training in the AF (BMT and OTS) I've always shown up in GREAT shape and found that I actually fell out of shape while i was there. The program is really tough if you've not done any preparations. However, if you're even in reasonable condition, you'll be just fine! If have any more questions, I'd love to help out. Above all, have fun ... don't take yourself too seriously ... only take the training seriously:)
YES ... definitely have some tips. The first and most important tip ... don't take yourself too seriously ... give everything 100%, but just remember, the program is set up for you to struggle. Through that struggle and adversity, you'll learn about yourself, and your TI will learn about your charecter. So, bottom line, give it everything you've got, but don't expect perfection ... strive for max effort, not necessarily max results. Make sense?
not a problem! sorry ive been out of it for a few weeks too. work and a lot of other stuff keep coming up.
ive finally got back on track with a steady schedule.. we'll see how long that lasts hah.
hope your training has been good!
