Used to work out in college at least 5 days a week and be active all the time (basketball, tennis, etc). Have just recently caught the bug for lifting again after almost a three year layoff.
Why I Love It:
I love working up a good sweat and feeling the pump after a tough set. It's a good release of extra energy and a surefire way to get a good night's rest.

Looking through this website, as well as the support of my friends.

I want to put on some muscle and improve strength at the same time.
Goal (Long):
The goal here is to get my waist down to a 32, while maintaining muscle mass and seeing some definition on my abs. I'd like some nice muscle mass, but mainly would like the flexibility along with the strength so that my golf swing is more powerful this summer. Gotta build up that core for a more Tiger-esque swing.
Lifting goals:
Bench - 275 lbs
Deadlift - 350 lbs
Squat - 375 lbs
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
It's great b/c I can lift heavier and stay motivated thru the workout.

Have you ever had a lifting injury?
Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?
I strained a back muscle near my scapulae. Not sure exactly how I did it, but must not have been building the muscles properly and ended up overexerting myself.

What is the most common reason that somebody gets injured while lifting?
I guess it was because of the stress from work, and feeling overwhelmed, but there were a bad few months of training/eating. Basically throughout February, March, and April I was unmotivated, lazy, and didn't want to make any changes. I let work get the best of me by bringing it home...
