My goal is to get back into my football and Army shape before my 3 knee surgeries.
Goal (Long):
I was a star football player in high school and had offers to some schools to play. I was in very good shape, well conditioned and had as little as 4% body fat. I joined the Army right out of high school in 2004. I did 1 tour in Iraq where I injured my left knee during a mission. I tore all 3 ligaments and didn't get them repaired until I was back in the states. I had surgery and during my rehab, I tore my ACL and ruptured my MCL again, therefore having surgery number 2. Again I tried to push myself like I always have and I ruptured jus my ACL this time along with tearing my meniscus. Now after so much surgeries and laying in bed hating myself that I couldn't do what I USED to do. I gained weight just eating and being very timid and scared of pushing my knee to another breaking point. I am now out of the Army and going to school. The Army has custom fitted me with a highly technical carbon fiber knee brace that I use when doing anything but walking. Now I have been out for just about 6 months and I feel like I am ready to take it to the next level. To the level I KNOW I CAN BE AT! Here is a saying that I read everytime I get down.
