When I Started:
Sep, 2008
How I Started:
About a year ago my awesome wife started going to the gym about 6 days a week. Her getting in really good shape got me started.
I've worked out on and off (mostly off) since I was 14 or 15. I never stuck with it either because I wasn't seeing gains (not eating enough) or else would have some sort of minor injury that would stop me. In the past I don't think I've ever stayed committed with it for more than a couple of months.
Why I Love It:
Seeing changes
How I Stay Motivated:
This site has been a huge inspiration/motivation/education.
Desire to be "better" me and to set a good example for my kids.
This is the start...145lbs. I've been that weight give or take 5 lbs for the last 10 years. Pic was taken in Aug...actual start date of gaining weight was about Sept 20th
I've been eating 4500 calories/day for the last month and a half now. It seems that my weight is hovering between 170-175 for the past 3 weeks....time to up it again.
hey bro how are ya? I am good . I had to take time off to recuperate but I am back in the gym , treadmill and pool this week . still pushing for 8-10% bf and ripped!
About yourself, arms look definitely bigger than in Dec 10th and even Jan13th. The poses and lightning being so different from each other make comparison difficult, though. How about the legs?
Thx for the comment on the pic. Yeah, at least I'm more toned, and I think the upper part of the abs wasn't visible before, so I assume I reduced the BF%. After deciding to moderate my gains last week, I ended up loosing 1 pound. Seeing that BF% is not a big issue at the moment, I'll focus again in packing mass.
Hey, man, you're pretty much in your all-time max! Everything will be unknown land from now, right? Congratulations! Don't you get dissapointed seing some drops when recor your bodyweight every day? I do, and that's why I try to only record it once a week.
yeah weight fluctuates alot, ill lose 2 pounds just over nights sleep from normal water loss by respiration, pants shirt n shoes is 3 pounds give or take heh, I bounce around 189-192 right now, im going for 200 by summer. I passed my original goal.. so Im just gunna keep goin heh , Peace
Great, inspiring progress. I'm trying to follow your footsteps. Consistency has been the main issue for me in the past, but I decided I'll keep at it until I reach my goals. How does your diet look like?
Hey man, just got around to checkin my comments. Things are going well, strength still improving and going grocery shopping tomorrow....woot mega bulk this week lol. Your weight gains are incredible man, what the #$%^ are you eating? Keep up the great work bro
Hey bro. . During the first month of a new bulk i always pile about a stone of fat straight back on, in last cut i unfortunately also lost some muscle mass, so muscle memory would have also played a part. . I prob gained about 7lb of new muscle in that time. . During a bulk i move around between 3500 and 4500 calories depending on how my body fat is doing., i dont like it to go too high during bulk. . . Have a good day. . Craig
without being too obsessive about it I did want to say I started at 40kg mid-Dec and now am at 60 so .... you know. I like it. It's the first time in 18 months I've had to dig in and find a raw vocal aggression just to get through it. Makes me feel like I've been pretending for a couple years now lol
