I started to rehab my knee due to a torn ACL from playing soccer. First, I concentrated on legs, as per doctors orders. I then added upper body and found that it helped on the soccer field. I was never able to devote much time in the gym since I played 3 - 5 times a week. I played soccer for 30+ years. Now, soccer is in the past and I can devote all of my sports related time to bodybuilding. I hope to be as succesfull as many of you that I have seen on Bodybuilding.com
Why I Love It:
I love the rush, during and after a blasting workout. Keeps me energized. Working out at lunchtime braeks up the day and helps me stay focused in the afternoon
How I Stay Motivated:
After tearing 3 ACL's I know all about rehab and hard work. I've been forced to give up soccer, so now, I will be able to devote all of my working out to body building. Keeping a log helps tracking results. Setting goals gives me something to work forward to.
BB Accomplishments:
I don't want to compete. Don't have the genetics for it. I just want to build muscle, lose fat, stay healthy, look and feel better, naturally.
I just want to look good on the beach. IS Vanity a bad thing??
Goal (Long):
Being an ectomorph, it's always been hard to put on muscle. Playing soccer a few nights a week and running didn't help either. Now that I'm done with Soccer, (at 46) I am devoting all of my workout time to bodybuilding. I want to put on mass this winter and cut fat for next summer.
Hey! Great to hear from you! You know....Americans work too much! I'm ready to move somewhere that personal training can be first...work somewhere after that! :) Mine are going good. I got on a six challenge with some great ladies from this site and it is keeping me in gear. Great to hear from you!
Hey, take it easy on your break. I have an unwanted break also. Have to have surgery so will not be able to do next comp in Sept. This getting old thing and pushing heavy weights just doesn't gel sometimes. Would be much easier sitting on the sofa eating Doritos!
Sounds like you have had a rough few weeks! Sorry to hear things are crazy for ya! Training is going well but my eating has been bad these last 2 days...Yikes! So I am back at it hitting it hard!
How are you doin? I have some new pics up...just a couple. I'm frustrated because they don't really show my progress very well. I'm going to have to practice with my camera and get some better shots going! lol!
