I started lifting weights in August 2006. I ran distance for years and was a huge cardionut in highschool and early years of college. As a young girl, I was a bit on the chubby side. In highschool, I began to get more involved with working out on a daily basis and eventually joined x-country. (still love it btw)
Lost a lot of weight due to an eating disorder. However, I've developed healthy eating habits and managed to maintain a healthy weight...I want to take my health a step further and achieve the results I've always dreamed of.
Why I Love It:
It helps me to feel alive, accomplished, and confident. Also allows me to vent whatever feeling I'm dealing with; anger, sadness, etc...working out is by far the best medicine.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated because working out makes me feel amazing. Even when I'm exhausted, I make myself get up - because the results are well worth the temporary pain.
BB Accomplishments:
Went from 145 to 119 lbs. I used to lift 5 lb dumbbells. Now I lift hard and heavy and can beat the crap out of a punching bag :)

Let suffering be your fuel. Find myself a step ahead and achieveing more every night I go to bed with my body starving, muscles aching, eyes tired, ready-to-scream because I just want rest. Seeing yourself the next day after having gone through that torture is the reward.

At this point, I was extremely depressed. It was February 2006 and Michigan is not exactely warm that time of year. I made a lot of excuses not to treat myself very well and did yoga occasionally. Even though I haven't taken weight lifting as seriously as I should have, there are some...
My goals are always changing! As I've been lifting for nearly a year now, I'm beginning to understand that I'm not meant to be a size 2, super skinny chica...I am just naturally very strong so gotta use that to my advantage :) My next goal is to be able to squat 300 lbs. Hopefully really nice abs will come along the way.
I want a body that I am so incredibly proud of.
I'm finding it really hard to let go of someone that I should and truly need to let go of. I find myself giving out so much of my heart to people, sometimes without much thought, & end up getting hurt in the end. Story of my life.
And as I get older, my skin has grown thicker. This...
