I have been going to the gym, though only able to get there 1 or 2 days a week. At least it's consistant though!!:) Adding more to my fruit smoothies in the am which makes me feel uber healthy (even if I am not..). I have to say I can run really fast and have no pain in my knees now that I...

Workout Program:
GOING TO THE GYM 4 DAYS A WEEK..CARDIO & WEIGHTS...KEEPING IT LIGHT BECAUSE I AM TRAINING W. MY SON & AM NOT WANTING HIM TO LIFT HEAVY UNTIL HE GETS A LOT OLDER!!
How are them workouts coming? My exercise routine is currently on the backburner while I focus on nutrition. I am trying to consume less sugar and carbs while upping "goodies." For some reason, I haven't been eating salad for about 6 weeks, it's time to change that.

I remember the thing about fruit from when I was looking into going vegetarian. About protein separate from carbs, I'm glad to hear they should be eaten with vegetables. More than once, I've read that eating carbs alone throws off weight loss. Since I've concentrated on always eating some protein w/my carbs, I've lost a few pound easier.
Thanks!

"no protein & carbs mixed in the same meal?!"
Where did you read that?! I have always eaten protein anytime I consume food, so pure carbs won't cause insulin spikes in my blood. Did I misunderstand your e-mail or is there new research that shows solo carbs are not a bad thing?
Please get back, I advise a lot of people to never eat carbs without protein!
Ok, just send me private msg and give me a little info...
What you weight right now, what your goal is, level of fitness, what you do in the gym...Like, do you do cardio or weights as well, what level you are on and such... No big deal just aproximately...
ANd I'll tell you based on that what your calorie intake should be and how to spread it thru the day...
And it's no big deal, I would do it for anyone who is determined to change their life and body! That's why we all here...
:)
Hey, thanks for the well wishes! Life is still not great, though I've stopped having all over body pain (muscle atrophy from 100% no exercise?), the hernia itself is hurting. Again, glad your dauther noticed your "fat loss" and that you are happier. Best to you!
It on the photo gallery that is left of the screen under the profile picture. I don't picture that much don't want people to mesmerized by my beauty :P I got nice hair-style, not on my this pic, beard and mustache and a white shiny teeth what else a woman could ask for :P
Diet/nutrition have tied with improper sleep as my biggest longterm downfalls. On the one hand, I can eat clean for weeks (no cake, cokes, etc.), but the whole time I'll still consume too many calories. Also, if it wasn't for pills and powder, I think my body would fall apart. Not very up on nutrition, but it's obvious to me my diet could be better for my health. And sleep, I usually carry too much energy to sleep long enough.
Well, other than the 5-6 pounds, how is the rest of you doing? Did you keep eating more vegetables, exercising more, drinking less caffeine? Any change in the way your clothes fit? Don't be too hard on yourself (unless that's what it takes), just get back on the horse and ride!
Best!
