I have gone to the gym on and off for the past year. When I first started, I was embarrassed to be in the gym, because I didn't know what I was doing, and I was too small. I finally worked with a personal trainer for a few months, and became more confident in the gym. I wasn't serious about working out until the holidays, and then I began really hitting the gym with regularity in January. Since then, I've been going and following a routine. I eat better, although I need to eat more. I am a vegetarian, which means that I often have trouble following preset diet plans with recipes. I have to substitute vegetarian options where meat is typically required. I'm not a vegan, though, so I still eat eggs, milk, and so on.
Why I Love It:
I enjoy the way that I feel as well as having my clothes fit me better.
How I Stay Motivated:
I've arrived at a place where the gym is part of my daily routine, just like showering or sleeping. I don't really think about it as much anymore.

Great progress photos man! Nice work! Isn't there a huge outlet mall around you there? I think I have been there several times! Keep up your great work! ~Ray
Until Feb, I worked as a sign language interpreter but discovered it wasn't for me. Now I work with people with developmental disabilities helping them achieve their goals and becoming more independent. It's much more a visible reward at least for me.
