When I Started:
Jun, 2002
How I Started:
Always worked out for sports such as football and other scholastic sports, but did not start working out until 2002 once I was rehabilitated from ACL surgery.
Why I Love It:
Some days are tougher than others to get into the gym, but the feeling once you are in a routine and in the zone is like no other, the exhaustion state/knowing you completed a good work out is by far the most rewarding feeling.
How I Stay Motivated:
My iPod filled with a large variety of music. Mostly listening to heavy rock/metal/punk to stay 'pumped' throughout my workout.
Get down to a walking weight of 168-170, such that making a 155 fighting weight is much easier.
Goal (Long):
Persisting on the gains (or losses depending on how you look at it) in my weight area, along with keeping on making the gains while maximizing muscular strength. Also would like to improve my agility and speed on land such that it may improve my performance in other competitive sports.
Some fine-tuned goals are such:
-Increase flexibility and dexterity such that my grappling and striking are improved, as well as decrease injuries.
-Increase explosiveness strength through plyometrics
-Increase sustained cardio level (160-170 hr), as well as recovery time.
...To Be Continued
Weight Goal:
I want to LOSE 10 lb
Bodyfat Goal:
8.5%

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped or hurt your relationship?
Helped quite a bit, testosterone levels have been sky high, and she doesn't complain one bit. She does hate how much the gym and other active lifestyle activities keep me away from her, but all the active stuff that she can do with me we seize the opportunity. We love riding bikes, doing yoga together, and training/running our dog, Baxter.Helped quite a bit, testosterone levels have been sky high, and she doesn't complain one bit. Other than the obvious benefits (appearance, health, etc.), how has bodybuilding and fitness improved your overall life?
Same as above, overall mindset has changed and made me much happier. I know enjoy smaller things in life much more, like a short-run with the dog. No longer tires me out, and I get to enjoy the scenery rather than how out of breath I am.Same as above, overall mindset has changed and made me much happier.
