Doctor told Mamma whenever I was born that I'd never be right... He wasn't wrong.
Due to a climbing accident about 15 years ago and a subsequent surgery that did not go well, it has been less than 5 years since I could walk without assistance. After spending about a decade as a cripple I had mannaged the seemingly impossible feat of becomming both fat and scrawny. After I had several specialists tell me that I was going to be in pain for the rest of my life and that there really wasn't anything that could be done about it, I decided to see what I could do. I figured that I didn't have anything to loose by trying. So, I quit smoking and started working out. It has been slow going but I have lost 50 lbs. and doubled my muscle mass. Which is funny because my limbs are still kind of small. So, now that I have done all that, I am interested in finding out what else I can do. How is that for a goal?
Wow! It is great to find someone who overcame similar issues to myself. I to was a sickly child for reasons I would rather not get into here. However my injuries are well documented so I have no problem discussing then here. If you are interested you can read my blog post a few days ago which tells my story. If not I just want to say thank you. I may never have pecs like your's but I am delighted to see what is possible.
Okay so, I haven't been sleeping enough because I have been working out at night and it takes me a while to come down enough to get to sleep. So, I am now going to see how things work by getting up before dawn and working out then. We will see how my arthritis feels about this one. Hopefully...
