Goal (Long):
Started using weights and working out 3 years ago on July 22, 2005. Made a 5 year plan and have stuck to it. Very diligent and dedicated to my plan for ME. I just turned 48 today, July 24. To date, I have lost 30+ pounds and over 45 inches all over my body, 12 of which were in my gut!
Don't do supplements, allergic to whey, chromium, so that cuts most all supplements out. I don't mind because natural is better! I love training! I love the way it makes me feel and look. I try to talk the talk and walk the walk. I am living proof that you can change what you want without drugs, supplements, surgery, or harsh diets.
I am happily married, 22 years to be exact and Kenny got me started working out. We have our own personal gym which was the best investment we ever made.
My most favorite fitness site is www.myfittribe.com
I am a top blogger there and love the people there.
Other than that, I teach high school English. Love what I do, do what I love!
Strength training is more than just working with weights. It's mind, body, and spirit and the interaction of each one together. It's a way of life. Persistence and hard work are the keys! And a good attitude will fuel that fire! Emerson said it best "Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm." However, Einstein once said, "Insanity is doing the same things over and over expecting different results." So "when everything is said and done, be sure more is DONE than said."
