When I Started:
1999
How I Started:
When your naturally strong your naturally going to lift things =) I was always athletic and couldn't wait till I was 16 to join our local gym. R.I.P- Red Brick =(
Why I Love It:
It demands discipline and self control, which I lacked when it came to food and getting to the gym everyday. I was always (morally) in control in my daily life, but when I realized food was my biggest temptation is when I brought it to the Lord. I've made more progress in the first 2 1/2 months then I've made in years. It was no longer about being thin, I was desperate for discipline. On a lighter note, I want to be like thee air.
How I Stay Motivated:
Once the workouts stop the diet goes, it can be a pretty bad snowball effect.

(No wonder, damn you Homer)!
I officially started March 27th,09 after being in a rut for 2 months at the beginning of the year, gaining 6 extra pounds. So far I've lost 28 pounds (171 lbs. - 142.5 lbs.). For the first time I completely changed my diet, even though I read about proper nutrition for years, prayer has seemed to lift this chain from over me. Everything seemed to fall in place, I suddenly had this mental power to break through the second, third and fourth week. Sarah knew how to lose weight?! Thanks to site's like BB.com, it's been an amazing source of information. I now know how vital it is to know what to eat and when to eat it, there's an actual science to it?! I've thinned out a lot but a chunk of fat is sitting under my glutes and wraping around my thighs and a chunk on my lower back (love handles). Unfortunately I'm pretty soft so I can literally grab at it. I will continue to lift HEAVY and make miracles happen.
-Oh, I secretly want to be a bodybuilder...whaaaat, hate figure posing. Maybe as I get older and have spent a few years meditating in the jungles of Brasil I can get my bodyfat low enough for BB.
[Note]: I've been doing this all natural, no fatburners (stimulants), super dupper energy drinks, nada, there's nothing wrong with it but sometimes people think you NEED those things in order to get good results. Also, sleep is probably the best supplement out there.
And now I must officially apologize for our disagreement when we fist met. You were talking about how people use this site for "hooking up" and I disagreed with you. The bad news is it happened to me and I was pissed about it. The good news is I must be getting better to attract the attention. Either way, you are looking better everyday. You have a very nice figure. Keep it up, Stay motivated!
