I LOVED lifting weights in high school. I am a very athletic person, I played volleyball and basketball in high school, in college I was in intramural volleyball and worked out on occasion and for the past 1 1/2 years I've taken up mountain biking and wakeboarding. But life happened and after I got engaged, I got comfortable and lazy. At 155lbs (in December 2006, the most I've ever been) I went to try on wedding dresses. I was a size 16...reality slapped me in the face! The lady helping me said not to get a size smaller because most brides won't lose weight before the big day. I am a bit hard headed, stubborn and don't like to be told what I can't do. So I thought to myself...I'll show her! So my journey to a healthy me started.
Plus I missed all my old clothes I grew out of and I knew I had to do something.
I was tired of thinking bad about myself. I wanted the body I used to have back...in fact I wanted an even better body.
Why I Love It:
I'm totally addicted, I crave the rush. It makes me feel alive. It reduces my stress level and builds up my self esteem. I love knowing that I'm getting stronger, improving my endurance andI'm finally in control of my body.
How I Stay Motivated:
My fiance is my number one fan, we workout together and push eachother, reading other's success stories, constantly learning how the body works and what to do to make it work efficiently. And of course thinking about how fabulous I will look and feel in my wedding dress, knowing I can strut around in my bikini in Costa Rica for my honeymoon. Just knowing that I'm making improvements every day and the feeling I get working out keeps me motivated. PLUS I live away from all my friends and family in Texas and when I'm there for my wedding I want to shock them all!
BB Accomplishments:
lost and kept off 25#

I wasn't 155 lbs here but well on my way. Looking back now...YUCK!
Work hard, play harder. Heading out to the Warped Tour.
I want to have a lean and muscular physique. I’ve always been strong but I want to work off the excess fat. I fell in love with lifting weights in high school and I’m finally getting back into it. I’ve never had cut abs and I won’t stop until I do…and then when I do I’m sure I’ll want more.
I am determined, motivated and ready to be in the best shape of my life.
Perhaps one day I'll enter a contest.
today's motivation...thinking about my honeymoon body. i just got done talking to a travel agent and he sent me an example itinerary with some hotel websites attached...talk about GREAT motivation...Costa Rica is so beautiful! I'm so excited and so ready to be in shape so i can strut around in...
Hey, you're alive!! Training has been going good. Dropped about 20# and now i'm starting to rebuild some lean mass. No clue how it will work but it's exercise so it can't be a bad thing.
