This past July I competed in a Figure show. It went reasonably well, but when I got my pictures back, I could see that I was about 25% smaller than every other girl on the stage. I was lean (too lean, really), but the biggest problem was that I simply didn't have enough muscle to be competitive. My 5'7" frame just NEEDS to be heavier than 108 lbs!
Now, several workouts and lots of food later, I'm finally back up to about 115. I'm going to keep trying to put on weight and I'd like to come in at 125 for a show next Spring. It may be more than I can actually do, but I'm going to try!
Why I Love It:
Not only does it make me look better, I feel stronger and more independent when I lift. It also sets a good example for my daughter - it shows her that women are strong and shouldn't be afraid to show it!
How I Stay Motivated:
My personal training clients keep me motivated. Some of them are more than twice my age but are fit, active, and in great health. They never give up and they inspire me to do the same.
BB Accomplishments:
I won my weight class in a Europe-wide Powerlifting competition.

Day 1
What is that? Is that actual size on my arm? Noooo...
I loved training for my last show. I even loved dieting. I loved having a specific goal to work for and I loved knowing that if I missed a workout or a meal it was REALLY going to matter.
But I really did not love the day of the competition. It wasn't that fun for me and I didn't get...
Reason: Trying to build muscle - doesn't come easy for me so I need every advantage.

Hi there Sarah; You have an awesome profile pic. Good luck with your PT career and achieving the personal goals that you've set for yourself. Best regards, Scott
Yeah-gotta love the underdog. That's really my only choice with the Brewers though. But I'd say your pic is probably recruiting some Cubs fans though, lol.
