Comments: My first competition was so surreal! The training that lead up to it was very demanding, but every minute of it was worth it. I started my training 3 months out and now wish I would have started at least 5 months out, because I didn\\\'t make all of the cuts I had planned on. The best part of the preparation was practicing my poses with 2 local competitors.

Competition day was unbelievable. I had been overcome by my stage fright once I had walked out with the other competitors.

At first I had felt that I trained so hard for 3 months and was only able to show myself to the judges for 5 minutes at the most. It just didn\\\'t add up. Later on I realized that competing is so much more than the 5 minute presentation, it is the self discipline you put on yourself in order to obtain a personal goal and strength that several people do not reach.

\\\"A [competitor] must be focused 110% of the time\\\"
