All through my childhood years I was very active. In High School I was on the Dance/Drill Team & took weight training. I read a lot of the fitness magazines & really looked up to Corey Everson & Debbie Kruck & then Monica Brant. I also really enjoyed watching the cheerleading, areobics & Fitness America competitions. After High school, I joined a gym just to stay healthy and fit but always had the fitness competitions in the back of my mind. After awhile when I noticed a big change in my physique I wanted to take it to the next level, so I did. Then April of 1999 I went to my first Fitness & Bodybuilidng show, the Emerald Cup Fitness Competition. I knew of a couple girls who were competing in it so I was pretty excited to go. Right then and there I decided that this is what I wanted to do! So 5 months later, September 1999 I competed in my first fitness competition and placed 2nd and then one week later I competed in the Washington State Ironman Fitness Show, (hosted by Craig Productions) and I placed 1st!! From that point on I was hooked on Fitness!
Why I Love It:
Many reasons...maintaining a healthy & fit lifestyle, the energy & feeling of well being and also challenging myself with sets or how far I can take my endurance level.
How I Stay Motivated:
It feels good to workout and when I think about getting on stage to compete I get goose bumps of excitment and then that pushes my farther. Also, by challenging myself and mixing up my workouts and trying new exercises helps me to stay motivated.

I'll look forward to when you start competing again, will it be in 2008? Anyhoo, one way or another, I hope to see you at any one of the shows we plan on being at this next year. Have a great week.
Hey, your program seems to be working great, you look good and you have so many accomplishments. Not to mention nice to see someone a bit local on here!
You look smashing, as they say in England and I wish you much success with your future competitions. You show us a great back in that photo and I can only imagine that the rest of your physique matches. Keep pushing yourself to be the best that you can be.

Buenos Noches Sandy! The placings show the "hit or miss" nature of this sport, but more importantly how one has to be TOTALLY self-driven and determined to stay motivated about it - the REAL placing in that department is ALWAYS first place! Keep on inspiring for all us fans!
