Background

When I Started: Feb 2009
HOW I STARTED:

I started really trying to get in shape when I was deployed to Afghanistan in 2009. I lost about 40 pounds and 4 inches off my waist.

WHY I LOVE IT:

Working out gives me a feeling of satisfacion/accomplishment. I love the energetic feeling, which is much more enjoyable than the lazy feeling i used to have in the morning. Now i feel awake when I wake up and it's awesome!

I was very excited to go to the gym as I always am, except now more than usual because I have nothing else to fill my day. I'll be leaving Korea in a little over a month and I just dont want to do anything except-eat, lift, sleep! On to the workout. I still have that same feeling for these workouts of them not being enough, but I feel it the next day, so Im going to stop talking about it unless it changes. The gym was packed! I'm not sure if its because we went later than we normally do or if its because of the new year and all the resolutions, but it was annoying. People were just standing ar...

NYE cheat

Its New Years Eve for me and I stuck to the nutrition plan I designed for the most part but I did have a burger and fries at Chilis and washed it down with a tall Miller Lite! I felt a little guilty about it, but at least I didn't go get waisted for the NYE celebration. Tomorrow I will be back on the plan with no cheats. I decided to add rice cakes and sugar free jam to the plan for those times that im craving sweets. I think its much better to eat this than candy or chips.

Todays workout felt a lot like the first day; i didnt feel like i did much. My chest is sore from the first day so maybe this plan is better than i think. I still wont know until i finish the 4 weeks and see the results, but at least the next day im feeling like i did something. Im going to start using the workout tracker on my bodyspace, but im having issues with their new upgraded site, so for now i'll just put the info here. For the DB pullover I did 40X12 and 55X12 for the warmup sets. I decided to push myself on the working set and I did 90X10. I found my feet coming of the ground a littl...

bones86 I started with the chest and biceps on monday and my chest is still a little sore to the touch, make sure you watch the videos he has on how to work the negatives. im positive this work out program is going to work for me, good luck in it and keep me posted how its working for you! mau911t Well done in completing the 12 weeks, you've transformed well. I do my workout/cardio in morning after first meal then do second cardio in the evening before last meal of the day. So, would i be taking L Carnitine before workout session or before late cardio session or both? Again with glutamine I take that before and after my workout. JonathanWinbush Im starting week 6 tonight. When I was on vacation I was only able to do cardio so when I got back I started back at week4 just to get myself back into the groove. I should be on about week 8 but thats ok it'll just be a 14 week transformation for me instead of 12. After this program I was thinking of bulking up again but this time follow one of the programs on here so its a clean bulk. Dec 12, 2011 9:52pm

JonathanWinbush I took a break cause I took the family on a last minute trip to hawaii for like 2 weeks. I didnt alot of hiking/swimming etc. but spent more time with the family tahn weight lifting so i'm back on the program starting tonight. Dec 1, 2011 5:52pm

AURFS Went really good the first week, then fell off for a week - crap - back on, husband has jumped on with me. So kick in the but and move forward, lost a kilo in the first week, but really looking for muscle now. cheers D Nov 21, 2011 12:43am

JonathanWinbush Yea I find working through a cold helps me recover faster. As for the diet i'm about a week strong so far. I've had little loss again but I'm going to give it more time before i feel its time to re adjust anything. I've gone extremely lean on my food and cut out all the fruits so well see.
