How I Started:
I used to lift weights back in 2001, nothing significant was just doing it with friends to get stronger legs and arms for basketball. We stopped within weeks. Now where I work, there are a few guys in the gym and one guy in particular inspired me to start back because of his physique(lean and cut-up). So in september 2008 two of my friends started and not wanting to get left behind I paid my gym fees bought some protein and lets just say I was off to a great start.
Why I Love It:
I love to see progress, one week 7.5lb bicep curl next week 10lb. I also enjoy the visual results, muscles grow where you never thought had. Working out is a great mental exercise also. Setting goals and achieving them.
When i was younger I was skinny boy, I always admired a friend of mines muscular built.As i grew i maintained a slim build until my friends at work joined the gym. I saw progress in some of them and joined the gym too. I always said i don't want to get too bulky but... I will take it one step at a time. I started seeing muscles i never saw on my body. Now i want more...more mass...more cuts.I haven't worked out my time frame yet.
