I've been lifting on and off for a couple of years, but after my first year of college I started working out much more seriously and now I can't get enough.
Why I Love It:
Getting bigger and stronger is an amazing feeling. Seeing my lifts go up over time and seeing my body progress just brings a smile to my face.
How I Stay Motivated:
By never being happy with where I'm at. I can always be bigger, I can always be stronger. At the same time, I'm proud of what I've done so far and can't wait to get even better.

I've never been really motivated until Summer of 2007. Since then I've been hitting the gym regularly and eating way more food for growth. Numeric goals like getting to 250 are just to keep me on track, the truth of it is I want to get as monstrously huge and insanely strong as I can while sticking to legal practices. I wouldn't mind being 300 lbs of mostly muscle if I work myself hard enough to get to that point. Aesthetics are all good and well but for the time being I just want to get huge, and if I gain some inches to my waist in the process then oh well, I can lose that later.
College is great. It's expensive, too. As I have said, I could care less about aesthetics. I don't mind being bigger, I don't mind being kinda fat, but right now I'm at a point where I can't afford to buy bigger clothes but I can afford to eat less. So the...

Basics:
The basic concept of this routine is simple - lower body one day with upper body being trained the next day followed by a rest day. Then repeat this again and take the weekend...
Bodybuilding can be an emotional ride, bro. On those inevitable bad workout days, you can say to yourself "what the **** am I doing this for?", but on the good days, which sometimes are too infrequent, you think "damn, I'm looking big." So stay with it.
Just checked your progress pics. Don't be so hard on yourself. We all start somewhere (I was a toothpick myself), but with work and persevereance, you'll be closer to your goal in time. Keep your eye on the prize; that'll keep you growing and hulking out at a good pace. Good luck!
my lifts are all increasing, so i guess yes. plus my BF is decreasing while my weight pretty much stays the same, so i guess things are great. although i have been eating a bit undisciplined lately...
great progress on the deadlift. you are totally kicking my butt on bench press. but let's see you increase on squats (unless you decided not to do squats).
