Worked out on and off since high school, but more recently got back into it when my youngest brother talked me into rejoining the gym.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I like feeling better, looking better, and having more energy than I've ever had.

My Workout Program

I have a busy schedule with a young son needing driven around everywhere on top of a full time job. Usually I cannot get to the gym until 11pm through the week,so some days I'm pretty tired before I even get started,but thats ok. Nobody said this was easy!

My routine varies from this day to day,but this is my basic layout:

Day 1: chest, triceps, abs

Day 2: legs, calves

Day 3: shoulders, traps

Day 4: back, calves

Repeat...back to day 1!

Usually I take friday off

Who has defeated the RUGGED MANIAC 5K?

I want to know who has entered and completed the Rugged Maniac 5K race shown on this website: http://www.ruggedmaniac.com/ I've been challenged to race against several people in this event and I'm not exactly sure what to make of it. Any first hand feedback would be appreciated! I am entering the May 14th event for 2011. That being said...I have a few deficiencies regarding this event and any training advice would be helpful: --I have almost zero running experience. --I have zero "mud runner" experience. --I have never been through basic training, which this event looks a lot like. -...

Judgement Free Zone and Impressing the Ladies

I'm waiting for the day when somebody finally has the balls to judge me at planet fitness and sounds the Lunk Alarm on my ass.  That will be great!  I just hope they don't try to do that when I'm in the middle of a set of dumb bell presses or else I just might accidently throw the weights through the mirror. Can't beat $10 a month though. One thing that I have noticed, not only at PF but also very often at Gold's is the great number of people that have no idea what good form is and how important form is with muscle development.  "Momentum" lifters...
