When I Started:
Mar, 2006
How I Started:
I started in 2004 and trained of 1.5 year, but I didn't know how to train properly and didn't make any gains. I then met my mentor eryanb at the beginning of 2006 and he taught everything about bodybuilding: supplements, number of sets, reps, training to failure, intensity, splitting body parts, etc. I became highly motivated since then and even have the pleasure to train with him.
Why I Love It:
I love the feeling of the pump. I also love to see how the body can change. The best part is after working out, the positive and upbeat mood.
How I Stay Motivated:
Strangely, I don't really need motivation. Graduate studies have made a mindless robot out of me so I just know that I have to train hard. If I don't want to train, my training partners will force me. Once I get to the gym, I'm thinking: ''well I'm here, might as well go all-out''.
BB Accomplishments:
None really.

To become a monster, you gotta eat like a monster.
To gain muscle weight (not worry about definition for now)
Goal (Long):
As I'm an ectomorph, my main goal is to gain weight in the form of quality muscles by hitting the fast-twitch fibers as hard as possible. Definition is not an issue for now. For me, the problem is not intensity or discipline, it's to eat! Like the old saying: ''To become a monster, you gotta eat like a monster''. I did gain 6 lbs last month, so I know it's possible to gain weight. I just have to be more discipline about never going hungry and getting those calories (no fast-food!) in my system. Ultimately, I would like to have a body like Frank Zane, one of the few Mr. Olympia weighing less than 200 lbs.
On the other hand, I also wish to squat 4 plates and bench press 2 plates. I'm confident I can do those in the coming year.
Interesting...that online test is very accurate. Gives me 14.3% today, and Parillo 9-site skin fold gives me 14.4%. Still 12% is an excellent bodyfat for gaining muscle. Just ease back on the calories a little but not too much so you stay at 12%. You'll be 190lbs in not time!
It's on Brunswick and Sources. Granted I haven't been going a lot lately given work and whatnot but I will be there plenty from now on :) How are things coming along for you?
You're one of the few people who actually way overestimates his bodyfat!! You are master of humility my friend. There is no way you are over 9% body fat!!
I train at Monster....awesome gym. You should check it out sometime. I used to train at Energie Cardio downtown but happily switched when I moved. Let me know if you want to check it out
PM me what you eat on a typical day and i'll take a look. also, are you on a fat burner? you may want to consider HOT-ROX. i've had a lot of success with it. keeps me lean without impacting ability to build muscle
ever watch Milos Sarcev's videos for back?
at TheFitShow. Try his method by bringing your elbows towards your body, instead of just pull yourself up :)
mind muscle connection ;)
What's up rvngu? I haven't heard for you in while. How have you been doing with your training in bodybuilding? Right now I'm doing a small clean bulk to get my frame a bit bigger for a month. Then I'm doing some serious cutting then. It's kind of heard with me going to school and other stuff too, but I think I can handle it.
