How I Started:
I gave birth and my body was like jello, so I decided I wasn't going to use my just giving birth as an excuse to why I'm overweight
UPDATE: I must get back where I was. I has some health problem but I feel like I have the energy to lose the weight I gained!

my husband has proven to me that he loves me unconditionaly and i want to look good to him for that reason...not to mention I want to be healthy for myself and children

Goal (Long):
I've always wanted to be fit...for as long as I can remember I've always wanted to be in tip top shape. But my mother never taught me how to eat right, or how to take care of myself for that matter. I grew up over weight and unhappy. In 8th grade I was so ashamed of my body, I had no friends and I had the lowest self esteem ever! Now in my 30's and i am learning how to eat right! I have 4 daughters that I want to teach the importance of taking care of yourself. Last year I gave birth to my daughter who just turned 1. I weighed 207 pounds a couple months after giving birth. I made a promise to myself to get in shape, without any fad diets, without complaining. I lost 42 pounds so far and I have 29 to go! I'm still learning though. I want to have muscle I want to be strong! Hopefully I can be at my best shape ever by the end of this year.
update 8/6/09: I gained weight due to some health issues but I now feel like I have the energy to get back on track! I have to lose the weight I gained and then some!
How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?

Yes, I care about how my children eat and how they stay active. I see many parent's buying fast food and drinking soda glaore with thier kids and it makes me proud to know that my children have NEVER ate fast food! How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you in your career?
I am going to school for Nursing...who wants to trust a fat nurse? Someone who can't take care of themselves? How are they supposed to take care of you? I believe that nurses or just people in the health field in general should be good role models. When I see people who are in the health care and are smoking or eating bad I feel like that is just a shame. Okay I have had a very difficult 3 years with many ups and downs. I gave birth in 2006 lost all the weight i gained and more....was very happy.....until in late 2007 i had my gallbladder removed and a month later I had kidney stones. I was in so much pain, I had to be hospitalized to so they...
I'm up two pounds from last week...very frustrating, I haven't done anything to make it go up...only on second week of my new thyroid workout/diet. I need to see faster results in order to stay motivated. GRRRR
i guess i am doing ok. i have been enjoying all the summertime junk food. cheeseburgers, ice cream, chips. you know, all the good stuff! i am sure that you are not eating any of those things, right? haha!

thanks for commenting on my picture. i really appreciate it. i still have alot of work to do, but i am slacking right now. work is killing me, and i have more time to concentrate on my workouts in the winter time, so the plan is to maintain until then. how have you been feeling lately?
