When I Started:
Jan, 2001
How I Started:
I started lifting for high school football because thats what every freshman had to do. from there i started to see results from lifitng an diet. I used to be 5'5 265 pounds as a freshman. i was unhappy with myself so since day one i've had this strength to overcome my weakness. by junior year i was at my lowest, 187 pounds. from there i really started to seriously lift hard and everyday till this day. everything that i've done and accomplished is all greatly do to lifting and my ambition.
Why I Love It:
I love bodybuilding for many reasons. first off the feeling of transforming your body the way you want is the best feeling. Number two is that it gives me confidence in myself since i came from being overweight to in good shape
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by pushing everyday knowing theres no substitute for hard work. i train like an animal, always psyching myself and never stopping. proud to be a drug free lifter, so that pushs me even more
BB Accomplishments:
I've never competed but train and diet like i am. i don't think i could compete because i had a tummy tuck an have a scar on my waste, but you never know i'm only 21

hey dude. ouch you separated your shoulder?! that sounds bad! I think I've just severely strained mine but I haven't seen a doctor yet. I'm going to start some rotator cuff exercises tomorrow and see if that helps. How about you? What rehab exercises are doing?
for the shoulder extensions, i do 3 sets of 10, lying facedown on a bench w/weight in hand, and turn my thumb inward at 3 o'clock, then lift my straightened arm outward just 90 degress. then turn thumb to 12 o'clock and raise arm up toward head (just 90 degrees), then turn thumb outward at 9 o'clock and raise arm outward again like the first time. i do all these slow and steady and concentrate on my shoulder. this probably makes no sense if you can't see it, haha.
hey brotha sorry for taking so long to get back to ya...school is crazy right now and another set of exams in a week! anyway, the PT has got me doin shoulder rehab exercises w/2-3 lb weights. basically, lots of isometrics, light wall stretching, lying arm extensions, external/internal rotations, and one-arm rows.
rich, i'm pissed for you bro! i just got back from the gym, and i did my rehab exercises and other stuff. i have class at 6, but i'll catch up with ya later.
Yikes! that got to hurt man sorry to hear that you got hurt at the game hope nothing serious or broken let just hope just bruise or you wont be able to play the rest of the game would crush ya well i'll pray for ya man hope it not broke let me know how it goes to the doctor man peace!
GOD DUDE THAT SUCKS!!!! I'm really sorry bout that bro. I hope it's just bruised up and nothin is torn or broken! I know it sucks, we were both making pretty good progress until we get hurt. Man brotha, that's f-in ridic!
naw, no car accident, my shoulder just decided to snap about 3 wks ago when i was lifting a 30 lb. dumbbell in preparation to do some warmup incline bench. and that handstand pic is from before the injury. i cant even do a single regular pushup now. what are those ab exercises ur talking about? care to PM them to me or email me amh1004@gmail.com. i'll try anything right now cause i'm desparate and so bored of not being able to lift like normal.
plus the PT thinks i may have a slight tear in my upper lateral pec muscle...boo! any thoughts on weekly leg & ab routine? i'm asking around cause I'm desparate! i wanna lift so badly! peace bud.
Training is kinda blah, mainly cause of my recent shoulder injury, but also cause i was sick all last week and didn't even do cardio! all i can do right now is cardio, abs, legs, and my shoulder rehab exercises, so i have not a clue as to what would be the best routine for working just abs and legs for a week. i cant do ANY upper body or one of my tendons snaps over my left clavicle and it hurts.
