When I Started:
Jan, 2008
How I Started:
I looked in the mirror and didn't like what I saw. I was 265 lbs and FAT. I knew I needed to do something so slowly I began improving my diet and getting more exercise. There were many roadblocks along the way, but with the motivation from friends here at BB.com I kept pushing through and plan to continue.
Why I Love It:
I love the way I feel after a workout. It drains the stress from my body.
How I Stay Motivated:
Keeping up with the folks on this site and watching their progress is very inspiring. Making friendships here and sharing ideas keeps things fresh and keeping my journal holds me somewhat accountable as I hate no miss a workout or blow a days nutrition because I know others are looking in on me and expecting better.
BB Accomplishments:
I've lost about 60 lbs since I started geting my diet and exercise plan back in order. I also have just completed running in a 5k race where I placed 272 out of over 3700 runners.

significant can be very subjective. i didn't notice my strength going up from 135 lb bend to 215 lb. but i noticed i was able to do more with usual weight and move up my poundage faster. but it isn't for everyone.
