When I Started:
1998
How I Started:
I was once a runner. I wanted to gain more muscle @ the time (I weighed 150-160lbs)
Why I Love It:
Over the years it has become a part of who I am...It's what I do what I love. Its my way of meditating. Plus I love the strength. Being able to do things and move weight that @ one time I'd never had believed possible.
How I Stay Motivated:
Results. Having a bad day? work out feel better....having a good day? work out feel better. Constantly pushing myself (once to the point of injury:(). Having become a student of the sport and culture, the knowledge I've acquired in anatomy, kinesiology exercise science, nutrition and the application of that knowledge in my own life is priceless
BB Accomplishments:
Since my beginning 8 yrs ago give or take I gained 60 lbs. Going from 150 to 210lbs solid in eight years(minus random time off due to injury or life in general). I haven't measured myself in awhile but my arms are around 20" My squat went from 150 shaky to 500 for 2 solid reps. Bench went from somewhere in the 135 area to 405 for 1 or 315 for 10. Anyway I am living proof that with time focus and motivation you really can change your body.

What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
Squats because it takes along time to find the exact "groove" that is right for you. People are always telling other people about proper form when we are all unique and biomechanically different to a greater or lesser degree. There is no golden standard of EXACT proper form, but I constantly hear people telling other people how they should be doing something. Now there is basic principles that apply to each exercise. But everyones safest most effective way is unique to them.Squats because it takes along time to find the exact "groove" that is right for you.
