I started bodybuilding in January 2005 but have been boxing since I was 17. I have never used any supplements (not even protein shakes). I guess you could say that I'm not your typical bodybuilder I did it my way and I'm sticking to it.
Why I Love It:
It's more than just looks (although I do enjoy the perks). I feel good every single day!! I never have low self-esteem. I worked hard to achieve my physique so now I feel like anything is achieveable if you work hard at it.
How I Stay Motivated:
The fear of failure. The haters who ask me why? The lovers who ask me how?
BB Accomplishments:
When I was a child I had asthma, the doctor said I should avoid intensive sports, I completely ignored the doctors recommendations and my asthma slowly dissappeared... by the age of 15 I broke almost all athletics records in my school. I always remember this and carry this through into what ever I do.
This is about a year after I started training seriously. My training was on point but my diet wasn't. People were saying to me I had a "good body"... but good was never good enough for me I wanted more, and I wanted better!! Soon after this, personal events taught me that life is too short to accept ...
What I find works best for me is VARIETY and CHANGE. I don't let my body get used to a routine, week, after week, after week. Personally I find that if you get used to a routine, your body has no reason to physically change. Some days I'll go running/sprints, some days weights, and some...
wow!!!...you are definitely gonna be busy in the coming year!!!...just make sure you fix that hole in your cap tho!!!...lol...my whole plan involves clean eating (already cleaned out the cupboards and trashed the "bad" foods), cardio (i.e. running every other day) regardless of weather...pretty simple really...i accomplished last years goals so now its to time refine and redefine...im really thinking 2010 is gonna be a fantastic year... ;)
