I started bodybuilding in January 2005 but have been boxing since I was 17. I have never used any supplements (not even protein shakes) I prefer to achieve my goals naturally no matter how big or small I become.
Why I Love It:
It's more than just looks (although I do enjoy the perks). I feel good every single day!! I never have, or have had low self-esteem. I worked hard to achieve my physique so now I feel like anything is achieveable if you work hard at it.
How I Stay Motivated:
The fear of failure. The haters who ask me why? The lovers who ask me how?
BB Accomplishments:
When I was a child I had asthma, the doctor said I should avoid intensive sports, I completely ignored the doctors recommendations and my asthma slowly dissappeared... by the age of 15 I broke almost all athletics records in my school. I always remember this and carry this through into what ever I do.
This is about a year after I started training seriously. My training was on point but my diet wasn't. People were saying to me I had a "good body"... but good was never good enough for me I wanted more, and I wanted better!! Soon after this, personal events taught me that life is too short to accept ...
I took this while in the changing room of Levi's in London, Covent Garden... that was a bit of unnecessary info but hey what else can I say....HARD WORK PAYS OFF!!!!
What I find works best for me is VARIETY and CHANGE. I don't let my body get used to a routine, week, after week, after week. Personally I find that if you get used to a routine, your body has no reason to physically change. Some days I'll go running/sprints, some days weights, and some...
lol i was trying to figure out how to do it but saw there was no way in the edit section so i messaged bodyspaceADMIN and they changed it for me right away! :) it was awesome
I know how tht is ! It never seems tht you can know enough when it comes to this stuff. Training is going swell. Hoping to see some gains within these three weeks coming upp because i've upped my caloric intake by 1000
Yeah I can't wait, it's going to be like a surprise, I'm gonna walk in the gym and he is gonna jump on me and say LEG DAY!!!! He knows its my FAVORITE haha and thanks soo much! I have been trying to push myself and keep my diet clean! Not gonna lie, sometimes I wanna just give up but then I look at my before and after pix and start thinking I dont do enough cardio! haha but no overtraining!!
so get this, my trainer TOTALLY switches things up on me and decides to "surprise" me when I get to the gym! since we are training 4x's a week now he has switches up my schedule and today was chest, tri's and bi's! don't worry I yelled at him, then hit the weights hard! hahah nah I didn't yell at him...maybe a little :P it was still a great workout for monday!
LOL! I don't know if I deserve that kind of status but I do appreciate it! Things are going well, I'm back in the gym doing my thing and so far it's going good. Luckily I didn't lose much strength from my little set-back. How are thing going in your world?
