I was having some physical problems that I had not experienced before, acid reflux, heart burn, blood preasure was pre-hypertension not to mention I was finding that all my clothes were getting to small and my wast was getting bigger. I decided to weight myself one morning and I thought I would pass out at 270lbs. With a 40 inch waste. I had never ever been that big. I got a check up and hit the gym within the next weeks.
But,have been in the gym most of my life due to high school and college football. I had my first set of weights at 12yrs old. I was first trained by a competive body builder in Jr. High. He was my first football coach.
Why I Love It:
I am now down to 245lbs. with very little heart burn reflux is almost non exsistant, and my blodd preasure is normal. I love watching my body change and it is great stress relief for me. I have always wanted a awesome body and I am determined to see them six pack ads. Not to mention I have made some great friends in the gym.
How I Stay Motivated:
Standing in the mirror and seeing my progress. I see people in the gym working their butts off and they seem to always look the same. I make sure that I look different. Not to mention when the clothes start to get smaller!!
BB Accomplishments:
lost 30lbs. in the last 6-8 months and put on about 10lbs muscle.
I want my waste down to a 31-33 and my body fat below 10% while continuing to add lean muscle.
Goal (Long):
I have always been in pretty good shape, but I have never seen that six pack or had them awesome looking arm. So, I am detemind and on track to get the V look with a waste line to die for not to mention arms and chest that make others heads turn. I know when I see it beacuse my head turns. I believe it I am at 200lbs and 10% body fat I just might be there. When I reach that goal I will reevaluate.
I have to say depression sucks yuk....I fight it a lot without medication, harder to lose any wieght that way. However the gym helps. I have to remind myself that feelings don't dictate actions, even though in our western culture that is normal don't feel like I don't do it or the oppisite....
