When I Started:
How I Started: I had surgery and a year later I was heavier than ever. My job location changed. I promised myself that the hour, four days a week, I used to spend on the road I would spend at the gym.
Why I Love It: I don't have to ask for an extension for the seat belt on airplanes any more.
How I Stay Motivated: My son has really changed his body. I thought I would try too.

+ My husband seems to enjoy the benefits. ;-)
BB Accomplishments: I have lost 50lbs in the last year and I have built up my aerobic endurance and strength. I can now walk 3.5 miles in an hour. When I first started I couldn't do 1 mile.

My wife and I know where you are coming from & believe that you can make your fitness dreams come true, probably sooner than you think. My wife (bodyspace name: judimax) went from size 12/14 to 4/6 and I lost over 50 lb’s and went from 36% to 10% bodyfat by following the 12 week Body for Life program. Push yourself, possibly out of your comfort zone and you will be amazed at the results and they will be well worth the effort. Give either of us a yell if you wish.

Thank you, I meant every word of it. The longest journeys are accomplished with one step repeated over and over. You've done some great work so far keep it up and try to update your progress so you can be supported and encourage others to accomplish their goals.

I was thinking about your husband's late night cravings. Take a look at this thread. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/ showthread.php?t=398412 I just tried the stuff...tastes like herbal hot tea...and it really has cut my food craving.

How did you survive the weekend? I never really got back on track after I fell, but I am solid today. I worked out a dinner menu with my wife so we should never be guessing what is for dinner.

I ride a lot. It is a passion of mine. I commute to work...about 12-20 miles round trip depending on route. I am not fast and walk many hills, but it is fun and exercise that I do not need to plan time to do. It just happens. If you are thinking of starting to ride, or have questions because of size, this is a great place to go...http://www.bikeforums.net /forumdisplay.php?f=248
