After several failed attempts to get in shape - I just had to do it. I came across bodybuilding.com and it has been a big inspiration to my motivational efforts to reach success.
Why I Love It:
It's a great accomplishment for me after every workout. To live and look healthy - Of course the compliments of my transition help alot too!!!
How I Stay Motivated:
I look in the mirror, I think about my wife and son, I think about just looking and feeling great, I think about the compliments that I may receive, I think about how guilty I will feel if I don't do it.
I want to drop 8 - 12 lbs of fat per month from December through March without losing any muscle mass.
Goal (Long):
Continue a healthy lifestyle, but of course with some cheat meals:) In doing so - I want the cut look - I want to be lean. I don't want to bulk up, but a nice cut body would be perfect!!!
Amy has always offered me support and motivation and to keep everything real. Work within your own limitations, not someone elses and success will surely come if you keep at it and stay strong. A set back is only just that - you can always continue to keep pushing forward - the choice is yours. Thanks for everything Amy!!!
Hartkopf has always been inspirational. Her desire to succeed and better herself helps keep my motivational levels up. She is determined to improve herself both physically and spiritually - just being around her makes me want to better myself - Thank you for so much, such a beautiful person!!!
What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
Think about how I will feel later if I don't work out. I also think about all of the compliments that I have received up to this point regarding my transition.

What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
I don't do it, but it does get annoying. Of course I'm probably not lifting anywhere near what they are.

Why I like this video: A motivational piece to Just Do it - I work as an Affiliate Marketing Manager for Eastbay/footlocker.com and should be more motivated, but this video helps!
Legs are very sore - started running again to help with the fat loss as well as join a friend in running some races. Starting slowly - 5k, 10k...etc. When you're fat like me the pounding can be a killer on your knees. My quads are also cramping a little. May have to increase my...
Thank you! It is a really good program. I've just started it a few days ago and can already feel a difference. I hope you do well with your goals too!!
Hey man! Noticed your blog entry where you said you are gaining weight when you expected to be losing. What does your diet consist of and how often are you eating? Once you put it all together, I am sure you will see great results! Keep plugging away.
You're very welcome. Just forgot that scale, at least for SHORT-TERM progress. If you see progress in the mirror or the way your clothes are fitting, then the # on the scale doesn't matter. Also, don't get impatient either. Losing 1-2 lbs of BF per week is exceedingly good, which you won't always get, even when doing all the right things. Patience & CONSISTENCY. Best wishes. :)
Thats awesome tho man. Dancing is some great cardio. I did some dancing this weekend with my wife. We went to a club with a bunch of my friends for my birthday party. Was fun times and worked up a sweat lol.
to me i was big on the heavy weight still. It helped me lose the weight but i stayed in between the 10-15 rep range. I also made sure that by the last two reps i was struggling to put it up so you wanna make sure that your close to failure with those reps.
its a process bro just gatta stick with it and make sure your diet is on point. Thats the most major part of it all. Are you hitting cardio everyday your in the gym?
HEY!!!!!!!!....How are you? I haven't been on here is a couple of weeks. Started a new job...11 hour days..so busy as ever! Hope you're back at it. Let me know if you need anything! Thanks for checking in!
With diet, it's always two steps forward, one step back for me!! Eating enough to maintain energy levels but not too much to be stored as fat!! It's a neverending battle!!
Thank you for those kind words. I am sure you will not have any problems reaching every single on of your goals...you definitely have the knowledge. I'll be pulling for you.
