When I Started:
Jun, 2008
How I Started:
I had worked out some time ago. I bought a one day pass from a gym that has a really low monthly rate. I joined and never thought about not going.
Why I Love It:
It is challenging and you do see results (somewhere) rather quickly. It may be in the form of an inch lost from your waist, an inch gained on your bicep, lifting 5 pounds more on the bench press, 10 minutes more on the treadmill at 1 MPH faster.
How I Stay Motivated:
I want to stay healthy to enjoy retirement in 23 years and to hopefully be a grandfather.
BB Accomplishments:
I lost 50 pounds total - 30 pounds just from overhauling my diet and the other 20 from hitting the gym. I've had women tell me that "I'm lookin' good".
I do three sets of 10, 8 and 6 reps using heavier weights. That is just how I've been taught. I have been doing higher reps 15-12-12 and lighter weights every third month to mix things up.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
20 seconds. That's just how I've been taught and any longer than that tends to get too cold. It depends - sometimes I will rest up to 60 seconds but never longer than that.
