When I Started:
Apr, 2009
How I Started:
I have never really been into working out or exercise. I have lost weight a million times but never reached my weight loss goals. At one time I weighed in at 210lbs (and I am just 5'0"). This time around I knew I must do something different. A friend told me about Tony Horton's P90X. I bought the program and another friend recommended and helped me get the easier version - Power 90.
Why I Love It:
Love what it does for me mentally and physically.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking better, feeling better, other peoples comments.
This was me many years ago. I weighed 210lbs (and am just 5'0"). I made dietary changes at that time and lost weight, It was not until this year that I added regular exercise to my life and made the decision to get to my goal and never go back.
My goal is to do Tony Horton's Power 90 program for ninety days as recommended (alternating cardio with weights daily, and eating 6 times a day in a healthy and properly portioned manner). When done with the Power 90 program I will move on to the P90X. I would like to lose about 30-40 more pounds and to tone up in all the flabby places! I lost 15 pounds prior to starting the program but gained 5 back on a cruise.
Janesays inspires me because she has taken off so much weight so quickly. Her transformation is wonderful. Like Jane, by the time I get to my goal weight I will have lost 100lbs or close to it so I relate!
Old Supe is an inspiration to me in that he has made dramatic life changes and totally transformed his body. He has to have major discipline, dedication and determination. It is a fact that the older we get the harder it gets and he didn't let this get in the way! For all these reasons, this man is a true inspiration to me!!
So I have been doing my workouts 6 days a week and eating right with next to no cheating for over a month now. I weigh and measure monthly. At my first weigh in I only lost 1 pound. I did lose a few inches but looking at progress pictures I really do not see much change. I see other people...
Hey what's up. I'm back in shape and excited to be going to the Mr. Olympia Fit Expo in Vegas this weekend. Yeah Buddy! What's new with you, besides doing head stands?
Hey, it's good to be lifting heavy again. I think I'm finally 100% recovered from my wrist injury. What's going on with you? How's the new routine working out?
