I started into fitness several years back but never really made significant progress. I went through the typical hills and valleys and eventually either stopped or lost motivation. Today, I start on a new journey with P90x! This journey will be the lasting one which brings me into a new rewarding lifestyle with significant changes.
Why I Love It:
I love to experience the changes while enduring the pain for the gain!
How I Stay Motivated:
By being in the environment and setting/accomplishing short and long term goals. One step at a time...

Fat as can be!
P90x - Week 2 Transformation. 10 more weeks to go.
My goal is to reach a state where my mind and body are running optimally with synergistic fierceness!
Goal (Long):
Simply, I'm tired of being out of shape. I'm tired of reaching certain plateaus with specific training routines and diet regiments and then declining back to where I was or worse. I'm seeking a new lifestyle that promotes a healthy physical body and mental alertness.
I'd like to trim my waist size down to 32" and my weight in the range of 180-185 lbs. I haven't been at this weight in years. I'm starting this program weighing 212 lbs with a 36" waist.
High Level Goals:
-Lose 30 lbs (212lbs > ~180lbs)
-Lose 4" on waist (Size 36" > 32")
-Lose 12-15% body fat (~24% > 16%-13%)
What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Focus on YOUR OWN goals and what you need to succeed. Everyone's body is different and responds to different exercises. Learn YOUR body and progress with your strengths and weaknesses. What mistakes did you make when you first started working out?
I didn't do it for myself and eventually just gave up and stopped.
I'm two days into Week 5 (Phase II) of P90x and hitting the new routines! This program works like a charm because once you think you have the program figured out... guess what? ... it changes on you and puts you back at square 1! Truthfully, this is the key to the program with it's...
Thanks 4 the blog comment! I always say this is so much more mental than physical!! If ur mentally strong, your body will do anything you tell it to do within reason!! Train hard!!
I'm training hard and will be ready to hit the stage in 5 weeks!!
I read a comment you made on someones blog about night time eating. Thanks for that! I stave it off with protein shakes too since I am really good until the sun goes down. I don't binge but I tend to be miserable when hunger strikes. Spacing out the meals DO help - thanks for reminding us that we're teaching our bodies something new and not to undermine our feelings and progress. :)
