After a high rep routine next week, it will be time to up the weight & lower the reps for bulk. Hoping not to damage any connective tissues

Background
When I couldn't play with my kids without worrying about ME getting hurt instead of them, I decided to strengthen my body so I can be here for the long haul. I began by just doing push ups in the morning. Then added a few sit ups and eventually dug up the dumbells buried in the garage. Now I just joined a gym 1/27/10.
It is a great way to improve self confidence. Sometimes you plateau and it saps your motivation, but if you just change your workout and work through it you can continue to improve. Although progress does slow down, you do still progress and that give you a great sense of achievment.

Posted in Other : Apr 27, 2011 5:47pmToday's progress and gallery pics were quite disappointing. I was tempted to not put any of them up and wait until they look better. However I figure if I put them up it will give me motivation to work even harder to jump start the progress again.
I've been trying to add mass and I haven't been very successful. I guess the easy gains are over. Instead it looks like the new pounds are mostly fat. Time to readjust the diet.
I've been looking into a few books to read. Body For Life is the only one I have read so far.&nb

Posted in Training : Mar 02, 2011 4:55pmToday was a great day at the gym. But it didn't start out that way. It was unusually crowded. I had to start my routine out of order and that always throws me off. Some exercises are too easy and others too hard. I never know if it was a good workout or not.
