I do physical fitness training as a requirment with the military but it isn't enough. I began lifting weights in 2003 and built up some solid muscle that eventually turned to hard fat due to not continuing progression in weight lifting. I tried out a few diffrent diets starting from 2004 to 2006 that were borderline "FAD-ish" and left me with minimal results. I then slacked off again until 2007, where I began "re-edumacating" lol myself with knowledge on the proper nutrition and exercise practices, and thus here I stand today. Im back in the program of practicing healthier eating habits and hitting up the gym which is my favorite thing to do.
Why I Love It:
Ive been active far as I can remember; since age 6, I had been diagnosed with asthma so my moms discoved that keeping me active would stregnthen me and my lungs. So in the beginning, as a little girl, I took a few dance programs from modern jazz to ballet. But I've been into athletics such as track and field and small amounts of weight lifting from the ages of 12 to 17. As a kid up into teen, I stayed busy doing something active.
How I Stay Motivated:
This isnt always an easy thing and there are times that I just have to force myself to go regardless of being ill or tired. I know that I always feel better and "get that rush" after working out so remembering that aspect of it has been thankfully motivating enough to get me off my butt :)
BB Accomplishments:
Most of my accomplishment have come from inside. Being able to run faster at longer distances (which is a great deal for me since I grew up an asthmatic) I tend to build muscle quickly which is a plus but also a minus for me. I want to have a little muscle; more of a slim cut tone, rather than bulky. I like my men to be wearing the bulk, not me haahaha! :)
Thank you very much :) I'm still a work in progress, but Im gettin' there, and feeling awesome in the process!
You've made great progress yourself! Keep on striving, remember, it's never good enough:) Have a good weekend! It's almost here!
