Background

When I Started: no information entered
HOW I STARTED:

I started lifting weights when I was about 8. Just a small dumbell. I used to do about 50 DB curls a day! I went through various stages, never lasted very long, and always stopped after a while.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love the feeling after working out. I like to think of my body as a temple - sounds corny, but I think people should respect the body they have been given. I really like feeling healthy, in control, and just like to have goals to aim for.

I stay motivated as I know I have always wanted to get bigger and love getting compliments on how I look muscle wise.

I love the bodybuilder look (not so much the MASSIVE pros) but the guys with big shoulders, big arms, chest and legs. An all round thickness is what I aim for.

Big Al 54 thanks...the pics i have up are about a year old...i'm more cut now but do not weigh quite as much... anyway traps have been a genetic gift for me. However, this worked for me: Barbell Shrugs with straps (heavy) 10-15 reps immediatly after with one plate in each hand shrugs (squeeze at the top and go slow)-til failure... minute break repeat 3-4 times...
