Overall Goal: Please vote for me @ www.bodybuilding.com/2010-bodyspace-spokesmodel-search-men. Thank you, I am pursuing a dream while reaching my goals. Going to compete first competition Dec 5, 2009.
Fit Status:
1110 reps for abs made the Frank Zane goal of 1100
Started lifting when I turned 30 and found the furniture had been rearranged and my chest had sunk to my drawers. I gained 8" on my waist and 50# by age 42 so when I graduated with my BS I decided to try to get back in shape. At 44 a catalyst pushed me to get in my best shape ever.
Why I Love It:
I love the healthy feeling I get and knowing it will help me now and into the future. I love eating healthy and the whole fitness life style. I love the results I see when I am focused on living and eating healthy. The energy and stanima I have now and plan to keep into my 100's. Shooting for 7% body fat and staying in single digits year round. I don't believe in a bulking phase this is for my health and testimony, it makes me feel great.
How I Stay Motivated:
Faith, family and friends(online mostly).I plan on staying in shape until the day I die so that I can do all I want until I am called home to Heaven! As a Christian I know 1 Corinthians 6:19-20," You surely know that your body is a temple where the Holy Spirit lives. The Spirit is in you and is a gift from God. You are no longer your own. God paid a great price for you. So use your body to honor God." And I believe 1 Corinthians 10:31,"When you eat or drink or do anything else, always do it to honor God." So my healthy lifestyle is a way of proving my worship of God because He says in Romans 12:1-2," Dear friends, God is good. So I beg you to offer your bodies to him as a living sacrifice, pure and pleasing. That's the most sensible way to serve God. Don't be like the people of this world, but let God change the way you think. Then you will know how to do everything that is good and pleasing to him." worship is a lifestyle for me and part of that worship is taking care of the one body God gave me so I can serve Him with it and not myself for," You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God's gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own. It isn't something you have earned, so there is nothing you can brag about. God planned for us to do good things and to live as he has always wanted us to live. That's why he sent Christ to make us what we are." we are all sinners deserving of death But God showed His love for us in that while we were still sinners Jesus Christ died for us(Romans 3:23; 6:23; 5:8) All we have to do is repent and call on Him and we will be saved(Romans 10:9-10, 13.

Goal (Long):

Catalyst = One that precipitates a process or event especially without being involved in the consequences.
It seems the more profiles and blogs I read a here the more common threads I find in those who are making the best progress. There is or has been some tragic catalyst to launch that...
Monday, Wednesday and Friday Mountain bike 30 to 40 minutes 8-10 miles followed immediately by 25-35 minutes of jogging 3-4 miles.
Tuesday Chest, biceps and abs
Thursday Back, triceps and abs
Saturday Quads, glutes, hamstrings, calfs, delts and abs
No problem Randy, good for you on making the decision on staying lean whilst gaining muscle. You really have to know your body well and the macros it needs to maintain, so you can eat just barely over that to feed the machine. Once you get that down, it's just maintaining the diet and keeping the progress coming. Good luck!
hey randy! i hope you had a great day. forgiveness of others and ourselves gives much peace and love. i pray that God gives you perfect rest tonight with limited bathroom trips!:) good night
I try to most of the time!! ;) As much emphasis that people place on models, I would have to credit the photographer at least 50% ;) I've have pictures that didn't turn out good at all due to bad lighting/background etc. Anthony, the guy who took this picture is one of the best I've worked with. :) I'm working with him again this week so really excited. Might FINALLY get in maxim
