My gym has kettlebell-type things that only go up to 10lbs. Her workout starts at 15lbs. So I use a combination of either dumbbells or plates (I use the holes in the plates as handles)...and I harass the gym to get kettlebells - and it worked! They should be getting some next week! Woohoo!

I thought I'd have to do more reps or do heavier weight and extra cardio - but like I said, I'm sore with EACH workout without extra cardio or weights (and its cut my gym time in half)! Highly, highly recommend her!

The book is Body Sculpting with Kettlebells for Women by Lorna Kleidman. I've gotten to know her on Facebook too and she's a great lady. I had a great deal of misgivings going into it (I kick my own ass in the gym all the time. How hard can it be?) and she proved I'm a pansy compared to her!

Pullups...riiiiight...HA! Actually, I started a 18-week kettlebell routine last week and am getting addicted to having my ass kicked every M/W/F/S! :) I think it's gonna massively help my pullups as there are several moves that make my lats soooo sore afterwards!

Yeah. Doing better daily. Funny - I've run into so many of his co-workers at my gym, just in passing, not ever realizing before his death that they knew my uncle. Odd how life works sometimes.

GOOD FOR YOU! That's a great attitude to have! I'm to the point that I'm eliminating 90% of the fat and carbs for the next two weeks (after T'giving, of course) to get the last few pounds off. I'm just tired of carrying them around. HA! Have a great Turkey Day!
