Overall Goal: I want to lose 20 pounds in the next 6 months so that I am less at risk for a heart attack as I get older. At the same time I want to add more muscle tone to my body.
Fit Status:
I have been running alot, now doing 7 min miles and feeling good about it
I woke up one morning and while getting dressed I looked into the mirror and did not recognize the body reflected back to me. I had always been an athelete and was not used to seeing the man reflected in the mirror. So...I decided to do something about it.
Why I Love It:
I like the ability to be able to transform myself. I also like the feeling of being fit and looking good in and out of my clothes. I also like the fact that working out raises the endorphins in my body and allows me to deal with the stress in my life in a more productive manner.
How I Stay Motivated:
Pure determination and willpower. (and a peek at myself in a speedo always does the trick,LOL)

Things are progressing. I am losing weight and body fat. I am in better cardio-vascular shape. I ran intervals in the rain up and down a fairly steep hill. It felt good. I am progressing at the rate that I have set for myself. I am even more motivated now that I am seeing progress. To...
